Women of all ages are invited to a silent retreat at the Franciscan Life Process Center. This retreat includes silent reflection, Mass, Liturgy of the Hours and presentations using Pope Francis’ The Call to Holiness in Today’s World, which addresses ways to live a holy life.

Cost: $250 includes presentations, room, snacks Friday evening, and continental breakfast and lunch on Saturday.

Join the University of Notre Dame’s Dr. Phil Sakimoto and Sister Damien Marie Savino, FSE, Ph.D. for a Franciscan discussion about the connection between faith and environment. Dr. Sakimoto is an astrophysicist and the former acting director of NASA’s Space Science Education and Public Outreach Program. Sister Damien Marie Savino, FSE, Ph.D. is the Dean of Science and Sustainability at Aquinas College.

Gather around a special St. Joseph’s Day altar and learn how to make two classic St. Joseph’s desserts: ricotta-filled sfingis and cream-filled zeppoles. Divorced & Separated Support Group

Thursdays at 6:30 p.m.
starting March 7 through mid-May

A new group for divorced and separated Catholics will begin at Holy Family Parish Caledonia. The group uses DVD’s with real divorce stories of hope and healing. With each DVD there is then time for discussion, reflection and support.

The group will meet at Holy Family on Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. starting March 7 through mid-May. If you are divorced or separated or know a Catholic who is – whether practicing the faith or away from the Church right now – please contact Christine Shafer for more information at 616-891-9259 or cshafer@holyfamilycaledonia.org. There is a $10 registration fee to cover the cost of the participant guide; assistance is available.  Please pre-register for child care at least one week ahead.  Group contains Catholic material but has benefitted Catholics & non-Catholics; all are welcome!

Cancer support & prayer group is held the last Thursday of the month, at 6:30 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Caledonia, Lower Level room #6 (enter through Main Entrance, & follow signs to the room).  The group is free.

This support group is to allow persons touched by cancer to be with others touched by cancer to gain insight, support, pray for one another, and share in a warmhearted and understanding environment.  Those with cancer, survivors, and caregivers are welcome; all ages, stages & diagnoses.
